Meeting No. 116 – theme “Mother’s Day”

Meeting No. 116 held on March 23, 2019. The meeting started on time at 5:00 PM and the theme was “Mother’s Day”.

In the beginning, TM Jonathan Watson started telling the instructions of safety and security as acting Club Sergeant at Arms. Then he called the meeting to order and welcomed all members and guests. The President introduced and brief about the theme and explained the word f the day. The President requested the VP Education TM Mohammed Rashid to announce any apologies or adoption in the agenda before starting the meeting. The apologies were TM Nasra Khalaf, TM Roven Lobo, TM Mazhar, TM Irina, TM Abhijeet and DTM Kurrram Salman. The motion to close the business session raised by TM Mahmood Hussain and seconded by TM Hameed Juma. Before commence the business session the president asked the Grammarian TM Grachel Monis, who introduced her role and the word of the day “Encroach”. Then, he introduced Ah Counter TM Sara Majid to introduce here role too. 

Then the president asked the acting Secretary DTM Jahangir Khan to check if the quorum is completed or not. After counting it shows that, the quorum was complete; it consists of 50% +1 member (21 Members). Then he discussed the business session and TM Mahmood Hussain discussed about the newsletter. TM Jonathan Watson discussed about end of current Excom term and the new nominations. DTM Jahangair Khan discussed about the marathon & walkathon on 3rd of May and the token of appreciation for mothers. In addition, he mentioned that he will miss coming meeting and he requested TM Mariam Haji to be his role cover. Them TM Ali Sebtain discussed the payment issue in brief.

Then the president introduced DTM Thuraya Juma as the Master of Ceremony of the meeting and gave introduction about the theme. She took the control and introduced TM Abdul Rahman as the Timer to give the Timing Criteria for all the speakers and evaluators.

Then the Master of Ceremony introduced and called the first speaker who was TM Fatima Kaabi; she delivered his DL-L1-P1with the project title “Life in one word” and she evaluated by TM Anjani Watson. The second speaker was TM Abdulla Safdar, he delivered his IP-L1-P2 with the project title “Journey Man” and he evaluated by TM Jonathan Watson. The third speaker was TM Freud Gahima, he delivered her DL-L1-P2 with the project title “Trusts and” and he evaluated by TM Mohammed Rashid. The forth speaker was TM Kamal Shehabi, he delivered his PM-L1-P3 with the project tittle “Heart” and he evaluated by DTM Jahangir Khan. The fifth speaker was TM Colin Lobo, he delivered his PM-L3-P3 with the project tittle “Proof” and he evaluated by TM Mariam Haji.

After the speech session, break taken for ten-minute. Then the Master of Ceremony introduced the TM Nadia Bashir as Master of Table Topic. Then he introduced TM Mahmood Hussain to conduct Fun and Learn Session. Then He introduced General Evaluator DTM Jahangir Khan to give his evaluation on the overall meeting. He gave his report in great way and he pointed valuable notes and suggestions. Then he asked the role players to give their reports As well. Then the General Evaluator called the evaluators to give their evaluation in same order of the speakers. Then he called the Ah-Counter to give his report. Then, he called the Grammarian to do so. After that, the Master of Ceremony announced names of the winners and presents the awards. The president followed him with some extra notes and he adjourned the meeting at 7:30 PM.
