Meeting # 66 was held on the 24th of February 2017. The theme of the meeting was “Celebrations”. The meeting started at 4:03 PM. The Sgt @ Arms TM Umar introduced the President TM Mary Sharon. President called the meeting to order. She then introduced the guests and accepted apologies presented by VP Education TM Saaniya Hashmi. The apologies were TM Daij, TM Thuraya, TM Romaan, TM Hala. VP Education after presenting the apologies mentioned no amendments to be made in the agenda. TM Umar raised the motion to adopt the agenda with the mentioned changes. The motion was seconded by TM Tabish. TM Aftab raised a motion that his speech timing be corrected from 5-7 minutes to 2-3 minutes, and it was seconded by DTM Khurram Salman.
President then introduced the Grammarian (TM Ahmed Masaad), who introduced his role and the word of the day “Triumph”. President then introduced the Ah-Counter (TM Umar Mukhtar) and he explained his role too. Then the president gave her Presidential Address.
The president then asked the Secretary TM Taranjot Singh to check if the quorum was complete to commence the Business Session. TM Taranjot, after counting the present members, replied with “Yes, the quorum is complete.” The president then asked for the changes in the minutes of the previous meetings that were discussed on the Whatsapp group to be adopted. The motion was raised by DTM Khurram Salman and seconded by TM Saaniya Hashmi. The business session followed. In the session, DTM Khurram reminded members to keep their CL Manuals updated with any role they take and if they don’t bring their manuals their roles of that particular meeting won’t be counted. He then congratulated the Area 3 Contest, TM Jonathan, TM Ebrahim, TM Nauman, TM Mary, winners with a round of applause. He also reminded all to attend the upcoming Division Contest on the 31st of March to support the club’s champions. He honored the Area Director TM Jahangir for the organization and efforts put into the successful Area 3 Contest. It was also reminded to all members to participate on the social media in order to win the Social Media Engagement award for the club. The motion was raised by TM Jahangir to close the business session and it was seconded by TM Nauman.
The president introduced the MC of the day, TM Roya Adel. MC took control and introduced the Timer (TM Eman Abdullah) to give the Timing Criteria for all the speakers and evaluators. Then Educational Session was held. MC introduced the first speaker (TM Nauman Tariq), who delivered his P#2 from the CC track with the speech title “7 Habits” and his individual Evaluator was TM Ali Inayat. The second speaker was (TM Mohd Aftab), who delivered his P#3 from the ACS manual titled “A Modern Coliseum”. His individual Evaluator was TM Jahangir Khan.
After the prepared speech session, the Table Topic Session was held and the Table Topic Master for the evening was TM Mohd Rashid. TM Fahd raised the motion to extend the meeting by 15 minutes, and it was seconded by TM Saaniya. Then MC introduced the General Evaluator TM Jonathan Watson to give his valuable Evaluation on the overall meeting as well as asked for the role players’ reports. The individual evaluators also gave their evaluation speeches.
Then Awarding session was held. MC announced the name of the Winner.
